Musandam Khasab trip starts early in the morning from Dubai/ Sharjah. It passes through the sandy dunes of various hues. The landscape changes suddenly once your trip reaches to Ras Al Khaimah. The onward journey is absolutely breathtaking. Your trip passes through the strikingly carved limestone mountains of Hajar that seem to rise from the sea like monoliths. The road trip runs along the beautiful coastal line. The trip also affords you plenty of photo opportunities. It reaches the Musandam Khasab harbor after around 2 hours of drive to an awaiting beautifully appointed traditional Oman Dhow. The Musandam Khasab tour begins with the tour guide describing every nuance of the cruise while you relax and take the sea breeze in. You see the quaint villages during the cruise that are very old. The fjord on which is cruise is taking place has tall mountains on both sides. The first stop over is the Telegraph Island where the cruise stops for a while so that the more adventurous lot could get their swimming trunks on and go for swimming or use on hand snorkeling kit to see the exotic underwater marine life. The Omani Dhow then continues its journey on the 17 kilometer long fjord called "Khor-as-shaam" through more fishing hamlets. Then comes the best part of your cruise when school of bottleneck dolphins appear along the dhow and display some cute acrobatic show for you, free of cost. This is when all the camera frenzy starts and everyone try to get the best shot. Kids really love this stuff a lot. The Musandam Khasab trip lasts for almost 6 hours and when you are finally ready to come, you are ready to just shut your eyes take the memories of this visually spectacular place in so that it can be told and retold to your near and dear ones.

All must carry original passports with valid UAE residence visa. Tourists from USA and some nationalities like UK, France, Germany, Japan Australia and New Zealand will get visa to enter Oman at the border itself. Intending visitors to Oman should remember that they should have the necessary documentation to re-enter the UAE back. |
